On Saturday 18th of November, The Junior Achievement team, ‘Connecteen’ received an award for innovation at the Cyprus Youth Tech Awards held at the University of Nicosia. We are incredibly proud of our students and their teacher Mr. Afantitis for his support and wish them great success!
We are thrilled to share with you the incredible experience our Sports School students and A-Level PE students had during a recent day trip organised by our Senior School PE department. This special outing provided them with the opportunity to learn and engage in the exhilarating sport of Padel!We look forward to more exciting sporting opportunities in the future!
Constantinos & Efi Fotini (Year 4) and Panayiotis & Theodore (Year 5) earned well-deserved accolades in the CTY Greece exams for 2022/2023! Expanding horizons, they also delved into "Our Beautiful Mind" during a weekend course. Join us in applauding these young scholars!
Ariel, a Year 6 student at The Junior & Senior School, recently took an assessment for 8th & 9th graders from the USA, the PSAT 8/9, part of the College Board suite of assessments. Despite being in Year 6, he scored in the top 95th percentile of 8th graders.
This will allow him access to online courses from Stanford High School in the USA. He has also taken courses with the John Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, receiving Grand Honors for his score on the SCAT. Ariel is currently enrolled in an engineering course at Arizona State University.

Evelina Christophorou Y11 gained the Bronze award for the Commonwealth Competition! Well done Evelina for expressing your ideas so powerfully within a challenging international competition such as this one and for demonstrating the power of your writing to the global community. The English Department is proud to announce that two of our English Literature students have received an Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award! Olivia Iacovou has achieved the highest mark in Cyprus and gained the Top in Cyprus Cambridge IGCSE Literature in English award. Penelope Artemis has achieved the highest mark in Cyprus and gained Top in Cyprus Cambridge International AS Level Literature in English. We are so proud of our students and the wonderful work that they have produced for Literature!
The English and History Departments at the Senior School are proud to announce that two of our students were successfully shortlisted in the prestigious Oxbright Essay Competition that attracts over 1000 entries from all over the world within the competitive field of essay writing!
Emily Kyriakides wrote a brilliant essay answering the question “How can long-term thinking in the field of Politics foster optimism about the future?” and Danae Kartoude produced an excellent piece answering the question “How can long-term thinking in the field of History foster optimism about the future?” The panel of judges were very impressed with both essays and awarded the pupils a free place at an OxBright academic conference. Well done to both Emily and Danae!

The 2023 International Academic Competitions - European Championships were held this past weekend in Barcelona, Spain, where Andreas WON the European Geography Bee and our team of Ada, Alex, Andreas, Daniel and Iasonas, ranked SECOND in the history bowl competition! A proud moment for their families and The Junior and Senior School.
