Afternoon Activities
Afternoon Activities:
In the afternoon, our school offers a variety of activities to our students, which can further enhance their education, but also provide a chance to have fun with friends and to meet children from other classes and year groups! After the main school day, children have a short lunch break from 1.25 to1.45. After the lunch break the afternoon activities take place from 1.45 to 2.25.
Most of the afternoon activities are free of charge. There are a wide variety including Music and Art activities available to all age groups, as well as a homework support club in both English and Greek. We offer a variety of sports activities including football, basketball, dodgeball, cheerleading, running and fitness, just dance, yoga, boxing and fitness.
Each year our offering of activities differs slightly based on demand and the staff’s talents and skills. In Key Stage 2 (years 3 to 6) activities may include debate club, ICT, math Olympiad, chess, whilst in Key Stage 1 (years 1 & 2) they may include forest school, social skills, team games or board games. In the Early Years department, the staff focus on development of motor skills through construction clubs, boosting confidence through stories and drama clubs.
As well as the large range of free activities, we also offer a more limited number of paid activities which are run by external providers, rather than our staff. Paid activities offered are Taekwondo, Musical Theatre, Ballet, Football by Little Kickers and Lion Kids, Masterkids, Imagination Gaming, Dungeons and Dragons, Monkeynastix, Cheeky Monkeys, Nutty Scientists and Club Jubilee.
Finally, we offer private music lessons on demand, which include but are not limited to music theory, piano, violin, vocals, flute, classical and electric guitar, electric bass, ukulele and drums.
